To parents raising kids

I am launching a somewhat organized Litchfield/local family network/association. The general purpose is for in-person connection and support for Litchfield-area families raising school age children. I am constantly talking to more and more folks and the need for this local family networking group continues to build. Parents are having issues with Buckeye schools of all kinds; More and more parents are pulling their kids out of Buckeye or say they want to. They should learn about the other growing schooling options even though it requires driving distances. What's more, Litchfield has a significant homeschool population. If enough of you want to start a homeschool co-op, I will help launch it in Litchfield as soon as possible. Getting together is a must! I will continue to keep involved in advocating for improved results at Buckeye, but meanwhile we have plenty we can attend to on our own.

These playgroup/Coffee Chats are open to Litchfield families and also welcomes families within a 5-mile proximity for now. The pressing topics will be sharing with each other current state of schooling and your own schooling needs and experiences of your kids. Anyone can contact me on fb or at 330-441-8507. You are welcome to invite other families. So help pass this on to your contacts who needs the info sooner than later. You won't be able to share this private fb group post though, but u can take a pic and text it! Thanks!

Our public Buckeye school system may not be as broken as many others across the state, but it is broken and is having detrimental effect on our families and the community's general welfare. Ohio legislators continue to allow money to be thrown at the system. EdChoice won't fix it. Our own school officials want to keep us in the dark so they can keep throwing money at our problems hoping this will fix everything. The revolving door of administrators and school board members can't fix it themselves anytime in the near future no matter how noble some may try. The unions, the bloated administration, big tech, big government continues to want to separate kids from their parents and have both parents working outside of home to pay increasing taxes to support the system. Here in our district, we have not just a few newer people thinking they know what's best for our families and benefiting from the current status quo, but long-time fellow residents. They work for and within the system to protect an out of control, unsustainable government institution.
