It was done at a time when our community pitched in. The Boy Scouts were painting the old worn out ticket booths and buildings and I offered to help. I thought I was only offering to buy some supplies, but I ended up doing some artwork.
Nothing professional, nothing to brag about, simply because the need was there. And the price was right- free!
Community pride is strong at the Alumni field. At the same time, a friend of mine rented a man lift and painted the goal posts. Band parents including my husband and I assembled the new bleachers so the band had their own place to sit. As is true today, the parents are always willing to step up and pitch in.
Please try to stop at the tables tonight. Please support the parent groups that are there supporting their kids.

This is just a small portion of what I have done at Buckeye schools.
Although I have spent a lot of hours in the classrooms with the students, I have also been outdoors working with the students and simply helping when needed
I was also on the BOE when we installed the bleachers. It was a huge step and a great addition for our entire community
So next time you walk through the ticket booth or go to the concession stand for food, think of me. Because I have behind the scenes helped throughout the years. I am running for school board, not because I hate the school or have a vendetta against the board. That’s so far from the truth! It’s because I have been here. Coaching on the soccer fields, helping in the classrooms, on the BOE and in-the pit crew on football fields, in the sweltering heat, pouring rain and subzero degrees, helping the students, stepping up and trying to make a difference.
I am running for school board because we have run so far off track, and are now completely derailed!
We now need people to lead, provide transparency, openness and integrity especially at this time and with a new building. We need people that aren’t sitting behind a desk but are actually in the trenches and stepping up when it’s needed. We need people with community pride that understands how to get our community back together.
I bleed Brown and Orange and that’s why I’m still here, still fighting and still trying to make a difference
