Watching Buckeye Spending: Capital Projects & Improvements

Going to start adding up the costs Buckeye BOE has wasted to con our community into voting for the 3 failed school bonds.
Had they focused on being honest and transparent with the money they already had and asked for a minimal bond of maybe $20 - $25 I think this whole issue would have gone much smoother. Of course if they had actually talked to the community, they would have been much further ahead too.
Instead the BOE hired outside consultants that their only job was to try to get the $80 million from a community that was already struggling with being able to pay their monthly bills.
Luckily the state changed the rules, we called them out and we all figured out together how much money they had been hoarding and still asking for more from our community.
I drove by the jr high today, I thought how funny it is that we no longer hear about the leaking roofs and the deplorable conditions. They dumped a total of $11k from a roofing company that doesn’t even specialize in flat roofs, $11,000!
As we have now witnessed, the BOE got their way. The community said NO. But the BOE was willing to spend anything, do anything and say anything to get their way.
We said NO - 3 times, and they did it anyway.
We are so fortunate that we were not duped. We stood up and voted NO. Can you imagine how upset we would be if the bond passed, our property taxes keep increasing and then we found out how much extra money Buckeye actually has.
They would never had said a word. The money would still be hidden and we’d be paying off a $80 million bond for the next 35 years. If the state didn’t call them out.
Now we will start to compile the wasted costs. It’s our tax dollars.
First up is-
Fanning Howey Architecture
They were the original architects hired to build the $80 million school. They led the FAC meetings. They made up the fly-by school design video(that was very disappointing).
Apparently, they are no longer part of the plan as the last time they worked for Buckeye was just before the 2nd failed bond.
Total cost:
$100,380.58
At this point $100k completely wasted!!
