Did you get your letter?
Property Re-Evaluations!!
Just when we have gotten used to the huge increase in 2023, they are going up again! It’s on a 3 year cycle.
Was this re-evaluation another reason Buckeye rushed their $63 million plan? Obviously the treasurer knew the re-evaluations were coming, obviously Buckeye BOE knows that after 3 failed bond attempts, our community will never pass anything- ever again.
So their plan has been approved!

1. We can be the Watch Dog with the $63 million plan and construction- bids and costs
2. The only thing in place right now is bids for the architect
3. The entire plan is much more of a nod and a wink with nothing in writing, including NO ELLP (state) agreement
4. We can have input in the entire project
5. We will give the community input and a voice with what we actually want!
6. We will ensure there’s
Transparency
Openness
Community Input
Integrity
7. We will work on a plan to actually
DECREASE THE MONEY
BUCKEYE RECEIVES
from property taxes
Our community supports Buckeye schools!! We support education!
Our community wants- needs- demands, transparency and fiscal accountability.
We want to put trust back into the BOE!
We want to reunite our community and celebrate the money we have invested into education, into Buckeye schools.
As far as the added property evaluations, this is the way our state has set up the taxation. The schools are funded mostly by our local property taxes.
But, we are working on a way that Buckeye can actually cut back on the money they can receive from the local property taxes. Again, it’s something Cloverleaf has done. It’s something we are currently looking into.
And, if that’s something else the BOE copies from us, it’s a huge win for our community. But remember where you heard it first.
The Buck Stops Here- because someone has to Watch what they are doing!

I wonder if there will be the same issue lorain county had where Ohio law prevents the amount from going to under 20 mills. This lead to most litany county schools getting 3-5 million dollars extra for free from tax payers. Maybe that is why they are not talking about needing another levy to fund the new schools operations cost. Will be very interesting to see. Technically even though your house value goes up your taxes don't necessarily have to go way up, they are supposed to redo the millage to match the levy dollar amounts. Seeing how a majority of your property tax is from passed levies it shouldn't go up that much

Danny Miller there was a big news article one it that the county auditor for lorain county posted and a bunch of people shared it so I read it and was blown away by it. Some schools got roughly 3 million dollars extra for free and I think it was Avon lake got something like 4.6. Million extra free dollars. Which is absolutely insane

Well, which one of the current Board of Education members in bed with the county auditor?

If my calculations are correct our taxes are going to go up approximately the same amount they did in 2022 not good I remember that that was a shock
Danny Miller
I used the auditor's tax estimator To check and see and my taxes will be going up approximately $662 Per year that's a $134 Dollars more than last time it just keeps getting better.
